TCEB Leads Private Sector Delegation to Meet Prime Minister Industry Recommendations Submitted to Strengthen Thailand’s MICE Sector as an Economic Driver

The Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (Public Organization) (TCEB), led by Chairman, Mr. Pasu Loharjun and President, Dr. Supawan Teerarat, today led a delegation of representatives from Thailand's MICE and related industries to meet Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul at Government House.

The delegation, representing seven leading industry associations, submitted a summary of recommendations outlining how government policies and support measures can further position Thailand's MICE industry as a strategic driver of economic growth and enhance the country's global competitiveness. The recommendations were compiled following a private sector consultation convened by TCEB on 9 July.

Key proposals include strengthening event incentive schemes, enhancing the Thailand brand, reinforcing TCEB's role in managing the Thailand Pavilion at international trade events, implementing more proactive international marketing, attracting high-value business events, raising industry standards, and advancing sustainability across the MICE sector.

The seven participating industry associations were:

Thailand Incentive and Convention Association (TICA)
Thai Exhibition Association (TEA)
Thai Hotels Association (THA)
The Federation of Thai Industries (FTI)
Federation of Thai SMEs
The Business of Creative and Event Management Association (EMA)
Thailand International Events and Festivals Trade Association (TIEFA)
