Through the MICE ecosystem, TCEB is helping transform Udon Thani International Horticultural Expo 2026 into a long-term regional investment. The initiative connects agriculture, innovation, wellness and gastronomy while attracting corporate groups and quality visitors from Thailand and abroad through business forums, conventions, trade shows and workshops throughout the Expo. It will strengthen Udon Thani’s standing as a MICE City and an international business destination.

Experience Nature, Embrace Sustainability

A Connector That Brings Every Sector Together

TCEB serves as a connector across industries through MICE—including agriculture, innovation, wellness and gastronomy, sectors with strong momentum in Northeastern Thailand.

Engaging the Corporate Market to Bring Investment into the Region

The Expo is designed to reach beyond walk-in visitors. It will engage high-spending corporate audiences in Thailand and ASEAN, particularly Southern China, for meetings and seminars. Across 134 days, business forums, conventions, trade shows and workshops will run continuously—reshaping Udon Thani’s future as the MICE City of Northeastern Thailand.

Raising the Expo to a World-Class Standard

As Thailand’s national bidder, TCEB envisions an Expo that is more than a showcase of horticultural beauty. It will also foster business dialogue and address global priorities such as food security, where many countries look to Thailand as a vital partner.

Transforming Northeastern Thailand for the Global Stage

By leveraging MICE, the Expo will place Udon Thani and Northeastern Thailand on the global event calendar and establish a new destination for international visitors.

An Investment with Lasting Value

The investment of more than THB 2 billion should be viewed not as an expense, but as an investment expected to generate up to THB 32 billion in economic impact from a target of 3.6 million visitors over 134 days, from 1 November 2026 to 14 March 2027—a high season ideal for travel.

MICE Powers the World Horticultural Expo, Elevating Udon Thani to the Global Business Stage

Udon Thani International Horticultural Expo 2026 is more than an international horticultural showcase. It is a strategic project that will elevate Udon Thani and Northeastern Thailand as emerging global destinations for MICE, tourism and business. The 1,030-rai Expo site is being developed continuously with improved infrastructure, landscape design, transport connectivity and visitor services for both domestic and international guests.

Several countries and organisations have already confirmed their participation in international gardens, bringing environmental innovation, agricultural technology and biodiversity to the Expo. The programme will also feature festivals, conferences, workshops and business activities throughout the event.

TCEB views the Expo as a Smart Investment, using MICE to connect agriculture, innovation, wellness and gastronomy while drawing corporate groups and quality visitors through business forums, conventions, trade shows and business matching. This creates long-term business opportunities and economic impact. Beyond the Expo, a Legacy Plan will continue to develop the site as a centre for agricultural learning, community activities and tourism—creating enduring value after the event concludes.
